This invitational tournament is open to schools who have the same basic mission for their students as the Battenberg's. This mission is to BUILD CHAMPIONS...IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE! Through a competitive environment, as iron sharpens iron, one competitor sharpens another. In life there are winners and losers. We teach someone that you grow the most from failure - as long as you fail forward! Learn what you need to work on, and you will take a loss, and turn it into a positive experience. Of course, it is more FUN to win, but it is not realistic to think that will happen every time! We set our students up for real life success!
"We Train Champions...In All Areas of Life. This is our mission statement in our martial arts school. With our 2018 theme - "Champions Will Rise!", we will make sure that everyone leaves our tournament feeling like a champion! Of course, there can only be one person in each division who actually EARNS FIRST PLACE, but that does not mean that the other competitors are not Champions at heart!
At our annual tournament, anyone who does not earn a medal throughout the day in the divisions they enter will be given a special medal (and personal recognition), by the Masters who are present at our tournament.
